NOTICE - CORONAVIRUS
Due to the increasing number of people affected by the coronavirus, and acknowledging the role we all have to play in limiting the impact of the virus, we have taken the decision to cancel all face to face meetings at least until the end of April 2020, and limit the footfall to our offices.
Until a complete lockdown of London is announced by the Government, our office base will remain open only to our members of staff, with adjusted working conditions, which includes increased working by our solicitors from home, and skeleton staffing within the office. Our objective is to remain fully operational as much as possible, with all our fee earners having access to technology for remote working.
Please do not send correspondence by post, courier or DX, and send all correspondence and documents to us by email, either to the fee earner dealing with the matter or to email@example.com
We will continue to take telephone calls and emails from you, so please continue with these methods of communication as needed. Any documents can be dropped off at our office through the letterbox, if necessary, but may not be seen by the fee earner for some time. Therefore emailing them with be the quickest option.
We will also respond to all enquiries submitted via our Online Enquiry Form on this website, so please continue to send us your enquiries.
Should you require a quote of our fees for commercial or residential conveyancing, please send your enquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, we would invite you to use our Conveyancing Calculator, which you will find at the top of this page.
We anticipate there may be some disruption whilst we put our contingency plans in action, but we intend to keep this to a minimum.
We will continue to review the situation based on Government advice, to ensure our contingency plans meets the needs of our staff and clients.
These are unprecedented times and we take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation.
Percy Short & Cuthbert is a firm of solicitors established in the Holloway area of North London for more than 100 years. We are proud to be a “High Street practice” looking after the needs of private individuals and small to medium sized businesses. We provide legal services in areas such as property conveyancing, litigation, commercial law, family law, child abduction, wills and probate matters and, unlike many firms, we still act for publicly funded Legal Aid clients in criminal cases.
Doing our best for and being fair to clients is central to our business. We are committed to providing high quality, affordable legal services and offer a personal service, as part of which your case will be handled primarily by one member of the firm. We endeavour to return clients’ telephone calls and respond to clients’ letters within 24 working hours. Whilst we believe in tradition, we also embrace change where it is of benefit to our clients. We have modern offices in central Holloway and regularly implement new technology to improve our ways of communicating and working.
We believe that we offer continuity in a changing world and much of our work comes from clients for whom we have acted previously or their recommendations. We have also obtained the Law Society's Lexcel accreditation for our practice management procedures, including in relation to the client care we provide, and we have been accepted onto the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme for our property conveyancing work.
We are retaining our telephone (020 7700 0265), fax (020 7607 2489) and DX (38653 Holloway) numbers. Our email (email@example.com) and website address (www.percyshort.co.uk) are not changing either.
This firm does not accept service by email or fax.
