Disrepair

Landlords have a legal obligation to ensure the homes they rent or lease to others are kept in reasonable condition and to a decent standard of repair. Any disrepair to a property must be resolved by the landlord within a reasonable time once he is given notice of it. This could include damp, rotting or poorly fitted windows, heating or boiler problems, faulty gas or electrical supplies, flooding and water ingress from rain or leaking gutters.

If your landlord is not taking action to carry out the necessary repairs, we can help you take action to ensure repairs are carried out and may also be able to help you obtain compensation.
